History: Onibaba attacked Japan in 2016, killing thousands. Try as they might, the military was unable to pierce the crustacean's armored hide. The jets couldn't stop the creature's rampage.
Eventually, Onibaba spots a young girl, all alone; Mako Mori. Onibaba chased her into an alley, trying desperately to get her. However, before it could, Coyote Tango was airlifted into Tokyo, and Onibaba turned its attention towards the challenger.
The battle was brutal, especially for Stacker Pentecost, one of the pilots. During the battle, his co-pilot, Tamsin Sevier, was knocked unconscious, forcing Stacker to pilot the Jaeger solo. He eventually defeats Onibaba.
Mako emerges from her hiding spot as Stacker comes out of the Jaeger and sees her. He saves her and later adopts her. Mako never forgot the trauma Onibaba caused her.
